Great post Cynthia! I like the link at the bottom to the Republicans who voted Yes on this awful bill. There's no second chances on this one: if you're a Republican and you voted for this, you're not a Republican. Oh btw, I think you forgot to cite me as the "all-of-the-above" source haha

To be totally honest, I'm not sure how I feel about cap-and-trade. From what I can tell, it seems like an extremely regressive tax (though I'm not sure why this is a sticking point for the GOP, considering they generally want to ditch the income tax and have a sales tax [great way to crash the economy, by the way, guys]).

But, I guess, Democrats just hate America. That must be it. They couldn't possibly have a good reason for passing this. It's not that they care about the world our children will inherit. No, they must have evil, evil motives.

Awesome attribution of motives.

Excellent post. I thought Obama promised not to raise taxes on anyone making under $250,000 a year, but I guess, like the rest of the garbage that spewed out of his mouth on the campaign trail, was a lie?

And what is with this administration finalizing bills in the middle of the night before the vote? They did this for the 1100 page stimulus bill also, which Congress received 8 hours before the vote but which was somehow still passed by House Democrats, who definitely did not even have time to read it. Didn't Obama promise that each bill would be posted for five days before a vote could take place?
